I'm a little teapot short and stout...my name is Axel.  I found myself being dropped off at the animal shelter and I could not believe my ears when I heard my owner said they just "didn't want me anymore". I have made a fast recovery from the Demodex mange I had and have been cleared by the Vet to search for my forever home.  

I am short in stature weighing in at a mere 33 pounds, but I have big loving heart.  I currently live with 2 very small Chihuahuas and 3 Boston Terriers ages range from 1 year to 12 years and I am very submissive to all of them.  I enjoy playing with my foster brother who is a very fast runner and I do my very best to keep up with him, but my short legs just aren't fast enough. My foster mom believes my previous owners were not kind to me so I do gravitate to her soft spoken voice and I am timid with my foster dad. Now don't get me wrong, I accompany my foster dad on the couch each morning as he watches the news after my early morning potty break, but when foster mom wakes up I am all hers.  I do enjoy time chewing on my large Himalayan Dog Chew, occasionally I play with toys, but my favorite place to be is on the couch curled up next to you. I am crate trained with no anxiety and potty trained with regular outings during the day.  

I have learned quickly how to sit, shake and lay down since I have been at my foster home and I love those yummy training treats I receive for a job well done. Oh, I almost forgot, I will go outside to potty when it raining a little water doesn't bother me. I will require a home with a fenced yard, you see I am easily startled by the noise from cars, trucks, thunder and many noises that most dogs are very used to.  For this reason I would be best suited for a calm home who also can provide understanding, patience and who is willing to work at my pace to build my confidence.
