Let me help you take the chill out of Winter....my name is Tessa and I am a lap warmer deluxe. I was surrendered by my owner because they said I was not good around children. Since I have been with SMRS I have had the opportunity to meet some older dog respectful children who came to visit and I had no problems with them.
I enjoy daily walks, playing with any toy, but especially those toys that have a squeaker in them. I also like to chew bones and I enjoy the company of other dogs my size or larger, but I am probably too active for a small dog. I am crate trained, no anxiety and potty trained under a watchful eye. I would do best if my new family would be able to continue to feed me the same food that I am eating now to avoid tummy upset. I am an active girl who loves meeting new people and I am the life of the party in any setting, but I will settle right down for a good snuggle session and I can lay in your lap for hours. I would fit in almost anywhere, apartment, home, single person or a bustling family. My foster mom describes me as loving, joyful, healthy and quite the character.
