Destiny came to us as a cruelty case from the SPCA. She was in terrible condition, but still a super sweet girl. She was extremely emaciated, had severe heartworm disease and large cherry eyes with entropion. She successfully had surgeries and treatments and is doing very well after her recovery.

The good news is that Destiny is a laid back loafer at her home. She doesn't mind a short jaunt to go exploring, either. She likes dogs, but prefers ones that are not extremely dominant. Destiny knows some basic commands like sit, down, and stay. She knows come, but it's a game of chance depending on if she wants to listen to that command or you have a treat readily available. 

This girl has a list of things that she loves. Car rides and exploring top that list. She is also partial to fluffy ball toys, sun bathing, bird-watching, and bones. She also loves physical touch. Mind you, she won't be a velcro attachment that you would wear, as she does not mind having some quality alone time. She has not been exposed to cats. She would do well with children over 10+ years.

Destiny is housebroken. She is a very quiet girl and would do well in an apartment provided that she could be taken outside on a leash. She'd do well with a mid-day break or venturing out to the office with someone. She will always be a lower energy dog due to the heartworm disease and the fact that even after treatment the worms damage the heart. She does not let it slow her down, but she prefers to watch a movie rather than fetch a ball.
