**RIGLEY IS ROUGH WHEN HE PLAYS, HE NEEDS TRAINING. HE NEEDS TO BE AN ONLY DOG. HE IS HIGH ENERGY AND NEEDS A FAMILY WILLING TO WORK WITH HIM.**

Rigley is a spunky, chunky ray of sunshine. His bliss is spending time with his humans, either napping, dispensing kisses, or following them from room to room. Don’t forget playing! This boy loves to play hard. He actively seeks affection and plays enthusiastically with toys. Rigley thrives on praise and needs reassurance that he is a good boy. Rigley is also crate trained, but does not particularly like being crated, probably because it forces him to be apart from his people.

Rigley does enjoy leashed walks, but care should be taken not to allow him to overexert himself. He has breathing difficulties like most bulldogs do. He loves walks, loves car rides, loves to play, loves to move... heck, he just loves.

Rigley thinks that kids are okay, and would be perfectly happy with either a single adopter, a couple, or a family, as long as he gets the attention and love he craves. Kids must be over 12 years and sturdy as Rigley is very enthusiastic and strong. He can knock them over easily. Keeping in mind that Rigley needs regular potty breaks, a stay-at-home person or someone who can take him to the office every day would be best. If a stay-at-home person or an office gig are not in the cards, he might be okay with someone who works outside the home but can pop in (or hire someone to pop in) during the day to let him out to answer nature's call.

Rigley's history with cats is unknown, so we need to say no to kitties in his forever home. A house without stairs would be ideal, but if you do have stairs, explain how you will manage gating the stairs, and if you are up to the task of carrying him up and down. He would be delighted to have a fenced yard he loves to explore. Rigley does have mild skin allergies and should be kept on a high quality grain-free diet and does take a daily dose of apoquel for the itchies.

If you think that you can provide Rigley all of the things his puppyness desires, then all you need to do is fill out an application and be ready to pick him up if you are selected. He would love nothing more than to provide someone with slobbery bulldog kisses.

His new family must be willing and able to drive and pick him up. SMRS does not ship dogs and adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.

SMRS does not have a facility location. Our dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the bios on each dogs webpage.
