I was cast away for cash on Craigslist by some not so nice people who kept me tied to a fence in the Valley and didn’t take care of me at all. Totally unacceptable in my book, wouldn’t you agree? When I arrived to Short  Mugs, I had Hookworms and was infested with fleas and ticks – gross! – not my finest moment, but you won’t hold it against me, right?

Everything has been made right by me now; I am Heartworm negative, parasite-free, neutered and up to date on all my shots. I’d like to say a big thanks to my foster family that has shown me love and attention and started me off on the right path to find my new family who will see to it that I’m taken care of forever! Could you be that family? Do you have what it takes to do right by me, give me an awesome life and make sure no one ever disrespects me again?

My foster mom says I’m goofy and playful, and that I’m still working on my manners with others (aka: learning not to hump if I get too excited). Hey, I’m working on it. As a rule, I’m kind and friendly, active but know when to chill out. I love to chase balls, hang out with my people, get treats and cuddles. I would be a great candidate for CFO (Chief Furry Officer) in an office, references available upon request. And, guess what?! I’m bilingual – I know commands in English and Spanish! See…I told you, I’m a great candidate.

I’d also be happy living the life at home during the day with toys and chewies as long as someone was available to give me a mid-day potty break. I like having other dog friends to hang with, but it’s not a must-have. Cats on the other hand, I’m not cool with, so please do not apply for me if you have them.

My ideal home would be a house with a completely fenced-in yard, but an apartment would be ok too as long as my forever companion agrees to leash walk me and take stairs into account if you live off the first floor. I am a Bulldog, so my joints and skeletal structure aren’t guaranteed to do well if they endure the wear and tear of going up and down stairs multiple times a day.

My foster mom says I have to give you full disclosure on this next part….

I AM A RUNNER and a FENCE CLIMBER; I cannot be shown the temptation of an open front door or gate, or have you assume that I will stay close by on an off-leash walk. I’m also not allowed to be left outside unattended in any situation – this should go without saying, but we’re saying it anyway. Please read my shiny lips: DO NOT LEAVE ME OUTSIDE UNATTENDED!

I will bolt and could get into serious trouble, but most importantly, I could get hurt, which would make all the nice folks at Short Mugs who have helped get me to where I am today, including my foster mom and dad, really upset. 

Whew, now that that’s over, who’s got what it takes to be my buddy!?
