Greetings from Benji....My owner was no longer able to care for me and a Good Samaritan stepped in to help and SMRS was contacted.  It was my lucky day and I have enjoyed the love and attention in my foster home, but I am now ready to begin the search for my forever home.  

I am a true Boston Terrier Gentleman, 7 years old and I have impeccable manners.  I am crate trained with no anxiety, potty trained and walk on a leash.  I will not however alert you when I need to go outside to potty so a watchful eye is just what I need.  I am not a candidate for the use of a doggie door or unsupervised outdoor time as I will escape the premises so a fenced yard is a must and I would need supervision when outside to do my business.  I would do best with a new owner who is aware of the heat issues of the breed as I do not tolerate the heat well. 

I have met some older respectful children in my foster home and love to give a quick kiss, but I am not interested in a game of chase or tug of war with them.  I do enjoy a fetching my ball for a bit, but love to relax on the couch or in my soft dog bed.

I am good with the dogs in my foster home, but I am best matched with a more laid back dog friend as I am not interested in rough housing.  I do not like fireworks or Thunderstorms and will shake and seek a quiet place.   I love my grain free kibble, Fromm and do take a daily tablet of Pepcid to prevent the stomach upset I had when I came to rescue.  I would be perfect for a less active single, empty nesters or retired couple.  

My foster Mom says that I am a true joy in every way.
