Adelaide (Addy) is ready to find her forever home!
Addy came to SMRS after being left at the shelter by her owners due to her skin issues. After visiting the vet it was determined that she had yeast and bacteria build up. She has been on medications and is responding very well and her fur is growing back in. Going forward she will need a bath once a week with a medicated shampoo and to stay on her apoquel for itchies (about $100/month) along with a grain free diet. She did have a mass on her tummy removed when she was spayed, but the biopsy showed it was not cancerous.
Adelaide's favorite thing is to be with her people. She is happy doing whatever the people are doing, whether that’s watching TV, cooking in the kitchen, or going to work. As long as she can be with her favorite person she is happy as a clam. She loves to get an ice cube as a treat in the morning while you make your coffee. Addy enjoys playing with her toys, but enjoys playing with them the most when she has an audience to watch her and then tell her how impressive they are.
Addy walks beautifully on leash and is crate trained. She has done very well learning her inside potty manners. If you have a booster car seat Addy is your girl for road trips!
Addy is house and crate trained. She stays in her crate at night but during the day her foster mom leaves her in an x pen with potty pads in case she has to go potty.
Addy lives with many other frenchies in her foster home and one large dog. She does great with everyone, but can be bossy at times like most divas! She has not been exposed to cats and would do best with dog savvy children age 8 and above who are gentle.
Addy's foster family has this to share about her, "Addy is a lot of sweet and a little bit of sassy. She is calm, confident, and has never met a stranger. She has impeccable house and leash manners and has been an easy keeper. She's a happy girl and is fun to take along for car rides, work, or anything we are doing. She loves tummy rubs and rolling around. I hope she finds a home where she is doted on and loved like the princess she is."
