Adoption fee: $350 Location: Houston area If you look closely you can still see the signs of the deplorable condition that Sunshine was in when she came to SMRS. She was covered with mange, missing much of her fur and extremely emaciated. Her condition was so poor she was in the hospital 10 days. She has since made a wonderful recovery and only has a few patches where the fur is still growing back. Sunny does not care about the past at all. This energetic lady lives in the present and the present is pretty sweet. Sunny is young and active and loves to play with any dog who will reciprocate. She is in foster care with smaller dogs who don't care to play very much, but she is good with them. She's also sweet and loves affection. She's a petite girl, happy and full of fun. She can startle at loud voices, but recovers quickly when she realizes that humans aren't all bad. She loves scratches, good food and the chance to lay by your feet after a day of fun. She is still learning manners like not jumping on people in greeting so at this time we think she should go to a home with no small children. She is 90% house trained and crate trained. She does get into things, like food left on the counter, so you have to be mindful of what is out in reach. Sunny is a joy to be around and she continues to bloom with good food and love. She needs her own home to continue this progress. Her fur is still growing back in and she needs to gain about 10 more pounds. If you're looking for a smart and loving girl come apply for Sunny!
