This is Short Mugs Rescue Squad's 1st Annual Bags for Bullies Auction. We currently have over 100 new and gently used designer handbags, wristlets, and wallets that will be up for grabs. We have everything from Gucci to Vera Bradley.
Click here for more information Terrible Triathlon Sunday July 16th, 2017 7:00 AM until 10:00 AM Location: Rowing Dock Map: 2418 Stratford Dr Austin TX 78746 An unconventional triathlon for Austin athletes who like to have a good time while engaging in competition. Competitors will bike (TBD) miles on Castle Hill Fitness spin bikes, hop on a Rowing Dock stand up paddle board and paddle 1/2 mile and return to the dock to complete 100 burpees led by Stronghorn Fitness Heats will begin roughly every 30 minutes or when the last athlete has passed the halfway buoy on their SUP. 10 athletes per heat. The triathlon will be capped at 50 competitors. The Terrible Triathlon has partnered with Short Mugs Rescue Squad to help raise awareness for the health and well-being of French Bulldogs and other brachycephalic breeds! Donate directly here! If you do not finish in 45 minutes, your ranking will be based on the last challenge or # of burpees you completed. Click here for more information Crowdrise Medical Fundraiser Tuesday September 12th, 2017 2:18 PM until Tuesday October 10th, 2017 12:37 PM Location: Online Short Mugs Rescue has been impacted by Hurricane Harvey like many other organizations. Being located in Texas and based out of the Katy/Houston area we have been in the direct impact and aftermath of the storm. All of our foster dogs are safe and most of our volunteers sustained minimum damages luckily. As a result of the storm we have lost a substantial donor and adopter base of people who have been impacted by the storm. The flooding has caused one of our main specialty clinics to have to close and they are referring to other clinics. Due to this we have had to re-arrange our foster situation and move dogs around so they can get the care they need!
We currently have no donations coming in, minimal adoptions and we have 32 dogs in our care. We get requests every day to take more dogs and do not want to say no, but we have to treat the dogs currently in our care. Many of our dogs are still requiring expensive surgeries and we need your help to accomplish this task.
We actually have outstanding vet bills around $2,000 and another $6,000 needing to be paid with the treatments below: Alex-complete ACL tear repair $1875 Summer-luxating patella grade 4 repair both knees $2500 Gretel-c-section for puppies $700 Archer-3 shot series heartworm treatment $550 Chewy-2 shot series heartworm treatment $500
We have a waiting list of dogs still needing our help and a handful we are working to find placement for. Any donation is appreciated. Dogtoberfest Austin is an Austin based, 501c3 non-profit organization, created for the purpose of instilling awareness about dog rescue, as well as raising much needed moneys for local dog rescue organizations. We have no paid staff and all of our proceeds benefit local dog rescue organizations. Over the last nine years, we have raised over $250,000 for our beneficiaries.

We shut our doors after 16 years to pursue fund raising for dog rescue groups through online auctions and to advocate for animals through the Mona Pants Foundation.

We fund raise for rescue groups through weekly online fashion jewelry auctions. A different rescue is featured every week along with a fresh new selection of both fashion and handmade designs (made by Momma) 50% of the proceeds is donated.
In order to assure these funds are used appropriately, we vet each rescue. We establish working relationships with a select few and focus on helping them with medical costs.
