Mission Statement

Short Mugs Rescue Squad is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the health and well-being of French Bulldogs. We are based out of Texas and run and managed solely by volunteers. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home French Bulldogs that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, strays, commercial breeding kennels, import brokers and private rescue groups.

We also rescue other brachycephalic breeds such as english bulldogs, boston terriers and pugs on a case by case basis. We are based out of the Houston area, but we rescue across the entire state of Texas along with Oklahoma and Louisiana.

Foster Dogs:

Click the Available Dogs page to see our dogs that are ready for adotpion. The dogs on the Foster Dogs  page are not available for adoption, but are available for sponsorship as they are still in foster care. Our Hospice dogs are also available for sponsorship.
